This bit has full cheeks and a thin single joint mouth.

The full cheek keeps the bit from sliding though the mouth on turns, and the single joint mouth creates a slight nut cracker action on the pallet. The thin mouthpiece is considered somewhat more severe than a thicker mouthpiece.
